CEC Notice of Data Response & Issue Resolution Staff Workshop for Hydrogen Energy California (08-AFC-8)

The California Energy Commission Staff will conduct a Data Response and Issue Resolution Workshop for the proposed Hydrogen Energy California project (HECA). The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the Hydrogen Energy International (HEI) responses to staff’s data requests and to work toward resolving issues. All interested agencies and members of the public are invited to participate. The workshop will be held on:

Purpose

The Energy Commission Staff is currently analyzing HEI’s Revised Application For Certification (AFC) for the proposed development of the HECA project. Staff has provided the applicant with two sets of data requests dated October 12, 2009 and January 13, 2010, respectively, for the following technical areas: air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, efficiency, geology and paleontology, hazardous materials, public health, reliability, socioeconomics, soil and water resources, traffic and transportation, waste management, visual resources/visible plume. The staff workshop will focus on the two set of data responses provided by the applicant for the above areas, additional questions staff might have, and possible resolution of identified issues. Other areas and issues may be discussed if necessary.
